Dr. Ronald
A. Eichel is founder and president of The Childrens Dental
Center of Atlanta. Born in New York City, Eichel has lived in
several U.S. cities. He attended the University of Tennessee
in Knoxville from 1959-1962 for pre-dental studies before earning
his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) at the University of Tennessee
College of Dentistry in 1965.
Following
graduation, Dr. Eichel entered the U.S. Army as a Captain in
the Dental Corp and served in both France and Germany. After
completing his tour, he received his Masters Degree in Pediatric
Dentistry at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He
then established his private pediatric dentistry practice in
Dunwoody in 1969. Dr. Eichel is an active member of the American
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Georgia Association of Pediatric
Dentists, American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental
Association.

“Dr. Teddy” is a native of Atlanta. He received his undergraduate, dental and post-graduate training at Emory University. He has been in the exclusive practice of Pediatric Dentistry since 1959 after spending nine years in a pediatric - general dentistry practice. In 1963, he re-entered Emory University Dental School on a part-time basis to secure his MSD degree.
He completed that course in 1966. For the last 18 years, his emphasis has been devoted to the care of Special Needs and Medically Compromised Children. He is a Diplomate of The American Board of Special Care Dentistry. “Dr. Teddy” has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally as well as having contributed to literature.
He is privileged to have served as President of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The American Society of Dentistry for Children and as the first dentist to become President of The Medical-Dental Staff of Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital... now known as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He has been recognized by many dental organizations for his contributions to the profession. “Dr. Teddy” and his wife Miriam have six sons, one daughter, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law and four grandchildren.

Dr. Mitchell
D. Vaughan earned his B.A. in biology at Hendrix College in
Arkansas. He graduated from the University of Tennessees
College of Dentistry in 2001 before joining the faculty for
one year as a clinical instructor in the Department of Pediatric
Dentistry.
Following
his two-year residency in pediatric dentistry there, Dr. Vaughan
joined The Childrens Dental Center of Atlanta in 2004.
He is an
active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy
of Pediatric Dentistry, Georgia Dental Association, Northern
District Dental Society and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric
Dentistry.

Priya Dixit-Chitre, D.D.S., M.P.H. |

Dr. Priya Dixit Chitre completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 with a B.A. in Natural Sciences. Following this, she received a Master of Public Health degree in 1993 from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health with a focus on community health services.
In 1998, she earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. She then completed a two-year, specialty-training, program in pediatric dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000.
Dr. Dixit Chitre joined the Children’s Dental Center of Atlanta after spending five years in private practice in Pittsburgh, PA and also as Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She has been a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry since 1998.

Dr. Petula
Hom-Minniti completed her undergraduate studies at University
of Maryland Baltimore County in 1992 with a B.S. in biological
sciences. In 1996, she earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.)
from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of
Maryland Dental School.
After four
years of general practice, Dr. Hom-Minniti received specialty
training in Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University College
of Dentistry, graduating with honors in 2002.
Dr. Hom-Minniti
is a member of the American Dental Association and the American
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Hom-Minniti is fluent in
Chinese (Cantonese).

Saba Sarraf,

The daughter
of two Middle Eastern doctors, Dr. Saba Sarraf earned her Doctor
of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Pittsburgh
Dental School in 1998. She completed a two-year pediatric dentistry
residency at the University of Maryland Dental School in 2003.
She also
earned a masters degree in dentistry from the University of
Maryland Dental School, focusing her research on the development
of early childhood caries in preschool children. Dr. Sarraf
is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry,
American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.
Dr. Sarraf
is currently Board Eligible by the American Board of Pediatric
Dentistry.

Sharon M. DeSouza, D.M.D. |

Dr. DeSouza completed her undergraduate degree, dental school, and a 2-½ year pediatric residency in India. She moved to the United States in 1996 and graduated with honors from Boston University School of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.).
She was awarded a lifetime membership to O.K.U, a dental Honor Society. She and her husband and daughter love to travel together. Together, they have lived in and visited over 5 continents and 16 countries.

A native of Lithonia, GA, Dr. T attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he majored in Chemical Engineering.
He then went to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he received his doctor of Dental Medicine Degree. After completing dental school, he attended the Baylor College of Dentistry where he received his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. T is an active member of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.

Yoo Mee

Born and raised in Guam, Dr. Yoo Mee Kim left home at 14 to attend Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH. Since then, she’s moved every fours years to a new city.
She received a degree in English literature from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University in New York City, and completed her pediatric dental residency at the University of Southern California – Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. She enjoys music, reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Her most recent travel was to South Africa and Kenya for dental missions. She is excited about acquiring an African drum of which she has yet to learn. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
